Wednesday, the 1st of April, 2026
Wednesday will feature the 1.5°C Challenge, an interactive journey with concrete solutions, engaged actors, activist works, and workshops. An inspiring conference and a collective intelligence session with leaders and young people will also take place. The essence of Banlieues for Change
An inclusive and concrete approach rooted in the everyday realities of local communities
The most disadvantaged populations will be among the first to be affected by the impacts of climate change. It is therefore essential that these issues are accessible to them, concrete, and meaningful.
Banlieues for Change advocates for a just and inclusive transition, rooted in the daily realities of local communities.
The program aims to strengthen the understanding, engagement, and participation of young people from the neighborhoods in the ecological and social transition, showing that it directly concerns them and that they have a key role to play.
In 2025, Banlieues for Change launched a new space at the heart of the ChangeNOW Summit: a space for dialogue, inspiration, and action for young people from underprivileged neighborhoods.
More than 80 participants discovered, exchanged ideas, and took part in workshops and conferences on major ongoing transitions: ecological, social, and economic.
This first edition highlighted how much these audiences, often distant from major impact events, are eager to understand, contribute, and take their place in driving change.
